Re: 2001 GS-R: Engine rebuild, other refreshments
Congrats on the first rebuild-it looks like you're really enjoying the process. -Don't be surprised if the machine shop you choose is far away and you need to ship the block/head. Many machine shops have been closing in the past decade. It's better to find a goo shop than a close shop at this point....

Re: Long list Type R's Currently for sale: US and Canada
Swapped cluster? Decent price though I suppose. No clue-difference in mileage would show up on carfax. I'm a sucker for a faded Phoenix Yellow but I really wonder what is going to happen to the value of these things as 1. Credit continues to dry up as the fed raises rates and 2. EUDM models are all...

Re: Importing European Type R under 25 year rule?
I've long wondered why American buyers didn't look at European market ITR's. They're cheaper, they look like the USDM examples [...] Plus keep an eye out for the Swiss only examples of which 200 were supplied, in yellow with yellow Recaro interiors. There is a law in America called the 25 year rule...

Importing European Type R under 25 year rule?
Is anybody planning on importing a European Type R after the 1998's are eligible under the 25 year rule? The prices seem compelling but I've never done it before. Here is a CW with about 70k miles for 20k USD. https://www.theparking-cars.com/used-cars-detail/honda-integra-type-r/honda-integra-type-r...

They're just really well engineered and still attract good people decades later.
The late 80's must have been a special time for Honda, and you can feel a little bit of that magic, and joy, in the cars.
