Re: Buying a JDM ITR questions
What do you think would be a fair asking price? It's really hard to value these cars. Would you say they're usually worth more or less than a stock USDM ITR?

Buying a JDM ITR questions
There's a 95 spec JDM ITR for sale locally. I've never purchased a JDM import, so are there some key things that I should look out for when buying a JDM import? It appears you can't use a traditional CarFax check with the VIN since it doesn't exist in the system. The key things I'd want to know are:...

Re: Type R Expo 2020 Survey
The shop i dealt with suggested the Hondata fuel system upgrade, earlier on but it didn't come out till my work was essentially finished, My Hondata tune was said to be with the injector duty cycle @ ~ %90 with fuel additive getting the fuel to ~ 100 octane (I could look in the garage for the brand...

Re: Type R Expo 2020 Survey
I haven't "tracked" the car since getting it back (bedding pads, checking drivability, race belt/seat position), and I've got a modified nose and a different top mounted vented hood (wrt intake temps, as well as a larger throat turbo [7163 Borg Warner] w/cat delete & insulation of dow...

Re: Type R Expo 2020 Survey
@zyg, you notice hotter intake temps since you have an open box design?

Re: FK8 CTR HPDE Thread
Went out in my last session on track with ~ 1/4 - 1/3rd of a tank of fuel, and a few laps in I'd thrown a check engine light with a couple of main dash display messages ( 1) and 2) below. Greg in the red CTR at Mid-Ohio was able to successfully reset the only trouble code of P0035 ... Turbo Charger...

Re: FK8 CTR HPDE Thread
Unfortunately no OEM oil temp sensor. Just an OEM water temp sensor.voiddweller wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2017 10:24 am Good to know.
Is there confirmation of an OEM oil temp sensor that can be accessed or is an aftermarket sensor needed?

Re: Update
The point of getting the CTR (in my case) was so I wouldn't need to do anything except add pads, high temp fluids, and normal 'HPDE' maintenance. This was wishful thinking. It's still a good car but Honda might have oversold it a bit :) After researching HPDE overheating issues and solutions, I've ...
