Re: Suspension tuning - dampers, spring rates, etc.
How are his shocks for daily driving? I’m looking at replacing my struts this winter and was going to go with the tried and true gc/koni with 450/350 rates I haven’t run on his shocks but I’ve heard great stuff from other folks. I can say that my Moton DA’s and MCS triples made fantastic street sho...

Re: Suspension tuning - dampers, spring rates, etc.
I found I prefer concentrating on my driving, reviewing previous videos vs fiddling with knobs with just the bilstein shocks on my integra. Most of my improvements on my driving I need to make are on me vs the shocks/springs Also considering buying the Whitener Shocks since I feel I am ready to mak...

Re: Suspension tuning - dampers, spring rates, etc.
Obviously just my $0.02 but I wouldn’t sweat adjustable arms if you haven’t settled on a damper package yet. Depending on ride height, you may not even need the extra adjustments. If you can stomach not having the ability to fiddle with knobs, I’d get in touch with Whitener and order his (Bilstein ...

Re: Suspension tuning - dampers, spring rates, etc.
Not sure if this is at all relevant but thought maybe someone might know something that could clear things up. I’ve heard of people adding washers to the front lower control arms for caster or in the rear for camber but what would be the point of adding washers to the front upper control arms. Prev...

Re: Tire Information Thread
http://what-when-how.com/automobile/vehicle-steady-state-directional-stability-automobile/ Question on the effect on understeering was based some reading around the effect of a tire’s cornering stiffness on slip angle. Just thinking the stretched sidewall would resist the deformation of the contact...

Re: Tire Information Thread
That makes sense but at least with a pinched setup the limited sidewall is pulled into the lip, with a stretch it’s also going to be pulling away from the seat. That’s not how it works... the loads are the same. The only difference is going to be the amount of wheel to tire deflection before you hi...

Re: Tire Information Thread
I’ve spent 0 time in on the track but isn’t geometry a concern? Stretching means the tread is smaller than the rim cross section (think trapezoid)? If so the anytime there’s force where the tread is pulling against the cross-section you’re only pulling on a single bead vs where the tread section is...

Re: Suspension tuning - dampers, spring rates, etc.
What are the better camber kits these days? Specifically, I'm looking for engineered products, not cheap knock-offs like Blox/Buddy Club/Skunk2/etc. I'm researching rear UCA's and leaning towards King Motorsports , but they are spherical bushings. I drive my car on both the street and track, so rub...
