Re: Brakes 101 (and 102)

Nah, don't sweat it just nostalgia. Running more aggressive pads in the rear to reduce pitching all the weight onto the nose.

Re: Brakes 101 (and 102)

Thanks! I'll check these out. I might even have some Hawk bucks that haven't expired and ease of acquistion might win out. The autocross use would be pretty light, let's be honest the tracking would too. Autocross would probably be instructor runs at schools or a local. Maybe as a rabbit car at cop ...

Re: Brakes 101 (and 102)

Any mid-2021 recommendations for a brake pad that I can run on 1997 OE calipers for "daily" driving, autocross, and light track sessions? Think Track Night in America sort of stuff. 3 to 4 20-minute sessions. Planning on running solid rotors on a completely OE(M) brake system. My most rece...

Re: CT Engineering Icebox Intake with K&N Filter?

You can use the K&N oe filter in the icebox but you will not be able to use the CT air horn/filter adapter. It's designed to use a generic K&N cone filter or the unifilter foam filter heel/toe sells. One of the benefits of the CT air filter adapter is the built in velocity stack which does ...

CT Engineering Icebox Intake with K&N Filter?

I'm getting mixed signals on if I can use a OE style replacement K&N with the CT Engineering Icebox Intake.

A put a K&N on a few months ago, but now looking at the Icebox since the factory resonator down below is in a minimum of two (not factory produced) pieces.

Re: 97 USDM Front Bumper Recommendations

I'm working on that now actually. We might need to gather some realistic data on how many people will be interested in a new comptech lip to better understand how feasible this is. I know this isn't a great way to generate realistic data, but, I'm in. :D For real, though, I'm playing catch up on al...

Re: 97 USDM Front Bumper Recommendations

It's been great seeing this take off.

Here's what I got back from Marcus at Heeltoe:
I could certainly make Comptech lips, but I need a sample. Do you know anyone in the PWN that has one?

Re: 97 USDM Front Bumper Recommendations

Thanks—great to have options. I will check in with a local body shop, being better informed is good.

Next up: The windshield that took a rock last week during a cruise.

Thanks for asking around. Also, thanks for pointing me at Heel Toe—I can spend a lot of money there. :D

97 USDM Front Bumper Recommendations

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Did some searching and couldn't find anything that seemed current for what I'm looking for advice on. I'm not convinced that the OE bumper is salvageable on #57. A buddy of mine did a massive paint correction to get years of cone marks knocked off of it. Does any...
