FK8 CTR HPDE Thread

Post by voiddweller » Thu Sep 21, 2017 5:21 am

My 2017 CTR will hit the 600 mile break in period in two days, which is just in time for a Chin HPDE at PITT Race this weekend :)

Dave-ROR is flying up from Tampa and we're going to run it in Novice Solo and Intermediate sessions. I'll post back with pics and videos.

Congratulations on the purchase and have fun with the car!
What color?

I'm somewhat local to Pitt Race, and would like to stop by the track and say "hello", but I'm backed up with work till the end of the month. Anyhow ... I'm sure we'll meet some time. Ed

P.S. I'll be at the SCCA HPDE Friday 10/13 at Mid-Ohio.

Hey Ed. Thanks!

Mid-Ohio is an awesome track!

I'm trying to do more local events so let's keep in touch. Darren

I've driven M-O a couple times before, but seems I really caught the bug (again) with the new car and wanted to do it again before putting on the snow tires.

Was at/on Pitt Race full with the CTR when visiting some friends at a TNiA event there back in late June/July.
Talked my way into doing a couple touring laps early on (with ~90 miles on the CTR), and then was shown a couple hot corners by Tom O'gorman during the mid-evening touring laps (separate from the main group).

P.S. the new section of Pitt Race adds a lot of character to the track, and I'm sure we'll meet up sooner or later, on track or off ... have a good weekend, will be a hot one! Ed

PPS I already have that wheel torque print out from the dealer ... @ 94 ft/lbs
But you also have to remember that it's a 7/8" or 21 mm socket for the lugs!

Front camber can be adjusted from the factory.

I was able to get -1.6 (driver) and -1.9 (passenger) at the front.

Yep, I wanted to post that up there for others to see. Thanks for the info! I'll be throwing together a little tool kit for the track tomorrow and will double check that I have the 21mm.

Nice to see that the camber can be adjusted! I'll have to mess around with that after I get a little more comfortable with the car. Thanks!

I'm interested in how your cooling system performs.
