Received an email reply today from a month old email stating there’s a 98 ITR engine harness available for purchase. Problem is, it’s from a CDM Integra Type R.

Does anyone know if this will be plug and play in my 98 USDM?

His incorrect purge or the proper 98 purge?

Your purge solenoid won’t plug in and if you are running a obd2b distributor from a 00-01 that also will not work.

Thank you for that info. If I’m trying to get back to 98 Spec anyway, I would be looking to buy a distributor regardless so no worry there.

Which purge solenoid? The one on top of the canister or firewall sensor?

Some hardware came in today so I took a few minutes to install it. Nothing fancy to see here.

Incorrect hardware as well as rusted for the positive cable.

Next was this busted hood prop grommet.

Thanks to my buddy Mike, I was able to see that the USDM and CDM 1998 engine harnesses share the same part number. So it’s looking like it’s a match.

Hallelujah!

The current firewall solenoid won’t work. As far as the canister purge, I’m not sure if that comes off the engine or body harness?

The canister is a stop valve not a purge . That comes from the cabin harness.

Canada and US share the exact same emissions hence the same part number for the engine harness. It’s a direct fit. This is what makes it so easy to import CDM cars into the USA.

Happy Labor Day y’all. Not much going on here other than stacking more parts and little hardware refreshments.

Officially gave the car a good cleaning and topped it with P&S BeadMaker. Love this stuff. It’s a must try. Immediately made me want to polish the car in the meantime but then I realized 6+ man hours of labor isn’t necessary since we’ll be sending it in for paint in a few months.

Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner on the steering wheel and dash board. Still taking up years of armor all. I’ll likely do it once more before using any Adams Interior Detailer on it. Pumpkin Spice of course lol Image Image

Took her on a holiday stroll around town in the rain.

My last day off today before heading back to work. Stopped by my local dealer to see what has come in over the long weekend.

I know what’s in there.....

Once again, the car had incorrect hardware on it.

Post mount is completely restored now.

This was a cool one. Seemed to come from the Honda Vintage Dept. Originally was told backordered NO ETA. I asked to have it ordered anyway. It came...

The last of windshield moldings.

Passenger fender liner. I now have both. I believe quantities are low on these so order them now while you can if you’re in need.

She’s really starting to get my attention.
