1997 canadian itr VIN question
1997 canadian itr VIN question
Hello all,
I was wondering if the 1997 canadian itr came with VINs on the hood/trunk/bumpers/fenders?
Is there a VIN in the motor and trans (the green plate)?
I know there are VINs on the dash and firewall.
Thanks in advance

Thank you for the replies. Does anyone know the reason for no VINs on 97 itr’s?

Probably they didn't really think about it at that time? Vin numbers on cars body panels are kind of a modern thing afaik.

I'm pretty sure our '97s were the same as US cars except for speedo in KPH and DRLs. What info are you looking for?

I was thinking the same but wanted to confirm with a knowledgeable resource. Does your 97 have a faux carbon fiber instrument cluster?boostjunkie33 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 3:17 pm I'm pretty sure our '97s were the same as US cars except for speedo in KPH and DRLs. What info are you looking for?
Not having any VINs, not even on the engine and trans, was concerning until I was made aware.

I am confirming if US 1997's had VIN stickers.
