Pins and connectors for wire harness
I am looking to get the female pins that would work in the wire harness in the doors. It's actually for my gs-r, I am installing new speaker wire for new door speakers.
The gist of what I'm doing is: fed new wire through to the plastic (molex) pieces that connect the car harness to the door harness. There are empty slots that could in theory accept more connections, thus give me a way of installing new speaker wire but keep it in stock functionality. Inside the door I have wires connecting to the speakers, and I successfully installed the male pins on this side. It's the female pins that I need. The female pin connectors are on the car harness side, the male pins are on the door harness side.
Does anyone know where I might find these pin connectors? I have bought a few generic sets on Amazon, and went into Best Buy as well as a local car audio shop. From the Amazon sets I was able to install the male side, but the female is too small.
I called a local Acura dealer, and they were not able or willing to be of any help with these parts. The guy actually seemed scared b/c I'm "modifying" my car.
I've attached pics of the plastic pieces that I'm working with.
Thanks for your help.

check here== https://www.oemacuraparts.com/v-1994-ac ... nectors-fr you may be able to find something that works perfect. you might need to check out a couple of connectors to find which has the same pin but that most likely wont be that hard. you need terminal joints, if you know the wire size that could help determine the correct terminal joint.Dave7CDMTYPER wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2019 5:12 pm I am looking to get the female pins that would work in the wire harness in the doors. Re: Pins and connectors for wire harness
Thank you for the link! The wire I'm using is 14 gauge. I just ordered all of the terminal joints they had, and a few connectors while I was at it. Excited to see if this works.DC231 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 9:29 am

^^^ nice I had never seen that before.
Side note, has anyone found any sort of connector/cap that could be used to cap off the orange ABS connectors in the engine bay? I removed ABS a while back and wouldnt mind capping off those plugs if possible rather than have them flap in the breeze or wrap them in tape. Ive asked some of the guys that make custom harnesses but they seem to be tight lipped guarding their secrets.

- Maybe de-pin the connectors to minimize bulk and secure the remaining in tape and loom?
- pick up a hunk of foam\rubber and a pack of sharp razors
- find a defunct\cast off abs unit (I believe the connector housing is the same for all generation abs units, though pin out was different) and trim the connector off, fill any openings with silicon sealant.
- Full out option would be to have a plug 3-d printed, there are a number of printing services out there capable of running abs and nylon.

Re: Pins and connectors for wire harness
I had a friend who worked for honda who supplied me with several multi pin connectors (both male and female sides)that were pulled from cars that required an airbag replacement. I was using them to build a harness for a CRX years ago. I still have several of them. If interested, PM me your cell number and I will text you photos of what I have. Cover shipping and they are yours.
