I wouldn't recommend tracking on Autozone/Napa/other brand axles. If you do, bring spares.

I ran Drive Shaft Shop (DSS) Stage 1 axles in my 98 for about ten years before switching to Raxles "VIR" spec.

Venting and grease material are important.

The RealTime ITRs originally had vents before the grease changed.

I currently have AutoPart International axles on #34. Theyve held up with a LOT of track time. Lifetime warranty and inexpensive. Im sure they arent the best things in the world but Ive had no issues since 2016.

A breather at least. The grease might be higher temp too. Let me check my receipt.

*Edit - No details on receipt. The Raxles website is limited but one can email at sales@raxles.com for more details.

Just replaced my first import select axle from O'Reilly's after 7 years. Went with new instead of refurbished axles and they've been fine. Only $80 an axle with warranty.

Raxles usually doesn't do a breather, that's a DSS thing it seems. At least my VIR spec ones don't have a breather, and I just had them rebuilt last year i think.

The VIR spec is the high temp grease used. He may use a stronger boot, not sure... Marty is cool, but he isn't sharing all his secrets :)

If you have a good set of OEM axles you could just repack them with high temp grease and roll.
