iPhone hookup to stock radio

Post by navin » Sun Dec 15, 2019 11:38 am

Wondering if anyone has does this to the OE ITR head unit and could give some first hand experience of products used. Prefer to keep the OEM head unit in at this point, but my searches didn't really give any good finds on how to do this.

I used to use one of those FM transmitters with a cradle that plugs into the cigarette lighter and holds and charges the phone. It tended to get a lot of interference if you're near a station with the same frequency.

Yeah and with those I'd imagine you need good radio reception.. Currently the antenna is not working, and since I really don't plan on using the radio I figured this would be something to do instead.

Yeah I found a few of those -- whats weird is they say it works for a 99-01 integra. But then also a 00-03 s2000 (which thought was the same radio as ITR?).

Maybe someone has one and can confirm it works, or ill take the $65 gamble.

I used to have this one in my '01 gs-r. It worked fine. Used RCA plugs into aux input.

I’ve used gromaudio’s Bluetooth adapter with two cars with good results.

First time was on my 07 S2000. No issues and worked well. Ended up with an aftermarket headunit or else I would be still using the grom Bluetooth adapter with microphone.

I currently have it installed on my 04 sequoia with microphone too. Again no issues and am happy with the setup.

I know this isn’t ITR specific but I am happy with their products.

I am also using this on my OEM radio in addition to keeping the lower din cassette deck, I don't know why I held out for so long using the cassette 2nd din for so long on my LS.

Thanks guys -- I'll give that one a shot. Anyone have pictures of how they installed it/ran the wiring? Not a big deal, just figured I'd ask if anyone did :)
