ITR #01-1322 CDM CW
Starting a new thread again since the last ITRCA forums. My caR was already in pretty good shape when I got heR from Edmonton, Canada in the Spring of 2016. I imported it and got it registered in CA, the whole process took a few months.
As of today she has 73,000 km on the clock, which is 45,000 miles. I don't drive it that often, but I definitely love to. And it just is an awesome sight to look at.
It's mostly stock, but with a lot of JDM parts. It came with the jdm front end already installed, and jdm HIDs. That's what I wanted anyway. I know keeping the CDM/USDM front end is more valuable and I've come to like that look as well. I don't know what happened to the original front end. But I don't really care because it's pretty much perfect the way it is. Plus it would have probably cost more with original front, but buying from Canada already has a discount b/c of import hassles etc.
It also has JDM 16s which I love. I love white wheels on a white car. Jdm red recaros. CDM red rear seats. I don't know what happened to the original red Cdm front seats unfortunately Although I'd have the recaros any day over the regular seats no matter how valuable those are.
Jdm momo srs steering wheel which I installed. I'm no mechanic but I like to do simple things and learn. I also installed jdm itr 4-1 header and exhaust. I put on a brand new oem muffler too. I put on an oem jdm shift knob as well (i'm like 50% sure it's real honda oem, you never know with eBay parts).
I like oem parts, but I'm pretty open to any kind of jdm oem honda parts. Future plans are to do jdm sway bars (I have the set already). Jdm decals (abs lsd for example).
I have a bunch of really cool parts lying around though. I've come to love spoon/mugen stuff. I'll use that stuff occasionally such as when I take heR to an hpde track event for example.
Angeles Forest:
Anyway, I think you get the gist. She sits in a garage under a cover when I'm not driving it. It has a thick coat of wax. I like to keep it clean.
Washed it the other day:
New updates: I had to get a broken wheel lug replaced due to my error. It caused some other problems too. But everything is all fixed now thanks to Ralph and Loi at Loi-Spec. https://www.instagram.com/loispecgarage/?hl=en
Loi Spec also installed a Jdm oem Honda 4.7 final drive a few weeks ago. Love the shorter gears and extra pulling power. That's a jdm mod I wanted for a long time.
I had jdm oem suspension on it but I realized it was blown a few weeks ago. Loi Spec also installed a set of really good condition Mugen low downs (today). It rides amazing now.

On Mugen suspension. Sits pretty good:

Would love to hear your impressions of the Low Downs after you drive on them for a week or so. I am consider them for one of my ITR's but don't want anything too jarring/stiff.
Car looks great BTW

Re: ITR #01-1322 CDM CW
Awesome thank you for sharing the pics and updates. The JDM 16s look right at home.
I miss my JDM SRS wheel. I sold it not long after picking up my car because of an SRS light and the desire to put and keep my car OEM stock. The wheel is so much nicer than USDM OEM. I am tempted to contact the buyer and see if I can buy it back.
Speaking of which. Don't worry about the car missing original parts. The JDM front is awesome and the car is a low mileage beauty that can be enjoyed for years. The JDM Recaros have much better bolstering that the 2001 CDM seats. I want to keep mine close to OEM stock and now I am have to stick with that path. (I am adding TE37 15x7 +35 next spring though.)
If you do decide to get some original 2001 Canadian ITR front seats I have a lead for you. A local shop who works on my cars apparently has a front set in storage. If you want me to ask if they want to sell them let me know.

Re: ITR #01-1322 CDM CW
Right on. That's interesting you had an SRS light. Mine is not on so I think you could figure out how to get it to turn off. The momo wheel provides a big part of the driving experience b/c it's such a main "touch point" as they say.
Yep I think my caR s perfect the way she is. Jdm front with HIDs for life.
I also have a set of TE37s (I think you knew that). I love those extra aftermarket parts. Since I have all oem parts then I can easily change the parts back to stock. I just love ITRs and having cool parts here and there. But oem stock is the first priority. She does look good tho on my TE37s. Can't wait to put them on and see how it looks with the mugen suspension now.
I might be interested in front cdm seats. PM'd you.

Re: ITR #01-1322 CDM CW
I should have mentioned that I reset the SRS light a few times but it came back.
I pulled the wheel off and found a cut GSR clock spring. Had to put a new one on and bingo no more light.
The previous owner was nice enough to install a GSR CD player too so that had to go.
Yes I remember you have TE37 too. I have to test fit the 15x7 +35 soon. I may just order RE71R now since there such a shortage last year. Darn Miata owners buying all the 205 50 15!
