After hosting four Expos in less than two calendar years (VIR Oct 2016, Road America Sept 2017, Dominion June 2018, and Thunderhill Sept 2018), including two with NSXPO, we opted to take 2019 off.
The original plan for 2019 was to completely take the year off and see how we were feeling after a break. Furthermore, some heard the rumbling that 2018 was going to be when we decided to hang up our hats. It's better to end something on your own terms. We successfully implemented one of the longest running and influential community led track events / gatherings that modern events will struggle to sustain the way we did. That's a huge thank you to all of you who attend and support Expo. We could not do it with you.
During 2019, we thought about trying to do something, big or small, towards the end of the year. We talked to a few tracks, had some dates penciled in, etc. Then we checked our own pulse, and the major takeaway I heard from our staff volunteers was, "We'll do it if you say so, but the break has been nice too." That's all I needed to hear. We needed a break. Personally, I had not taken a break between booking VIR for 2016 in late 2015 through Expo 18 West in late 2018.
That brings us to 2020. We need your help. We have a few quick questions for our attendees and supporters. It should take less than 5 minutes and is greatly appreciated. There's a good chance we'll send out Type R Club decals to all who fill this out.
