David's photo spread like wildfire on all the SRS BZNS internet discussions, guess that's the cost of winning getting a tropy at nationals worth itXian wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2019 12:29 pm The A052 from Yokohama is a decidedly fast tire in 200TW trim and swept a bunch of classes in ST* at Solo Nats. Downside is wear... cars without camber punish them. A buddy’s Focus RS barely got 30 runs out of a set before they corded at the outside edge and eventually (because he kept running them) came apart a couple of runs later.

No trouble. I’m not as hooked into the street tire stuff as I used to be but I can’t help keeping up with the changes.coolhandluke wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 12:02 am Excellent news briefing Christian, thank you for sharing. I am in the market but I am not in a rush. Holding off seems best for those who can wait until ~spring, but with the risk of backorder if there is a rush.
If you’re not chasing tenths for autox, I’d just snag some 71R’s if they’re the right size. Otherwise the RS4 is still awesome for the track.
PS
I drove my old EF sedan on 225 RS4’s at Road Atlanta a few weeks back. As much as it pains me to say it... I really liked it better on 185/60 14 Falkens. That car would slide for DAAAAAAYS.

Yeah, saw that pic getting crossposted pretty widely.aw614 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 8:45 amDavid's photo spread like wildfire on all the SRS BZNS internet discussions, guess that's the cost of winning getting a tropy at nationals worth itXian wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2019 12:29 pm The A052 from Yokohama is a decidedly fast tire in 200TW trim and swept a bunch of classes in ST* at Solo Nats. I’m sure he’d have rather gotten a trophy AND still had a viable set of tires. But if you’ve gotta choose one or the other... I know which I’d choose.

Re: Tire Information Thread
Decided to give the rivals a shot mounted on my 15x7s, so far only one event on them on the really inconsistent grip site at taveres, but on that site, it seemed easier for me to drive my car there vs the re71rs. But first impressions, they seem to like steering input, are more predictable but the re71r launch better from a dig. Even my friend with a miata was shocked he was getting wheel hop with the rivals, needless to say he doesn't seem to like them
Next week is the test at brooksville.
Though kind of peeved it seems my friend and I both got 2017 date tires (his were 245/40/15)

Re: Tire Information Thread
I would also be floored. Unacceptable IMO.
I need to shop tires soon, but I am waiting until post-ski season to buy rcomps. I will update this thread unless others wish to contribute as they shop for 2020 tires.

This looks appealing. Time to research.

Looked like it’s not destined to come to US though? At least based on info coming out of the auto show.
