I actually have not unwrapped it as of yet. Thanks! Was an unreal feeling to have it running. Can't wait for the first drive!
Did a TON of cleaning in the garage to get ready for the final stretch. Also cleaned up some of the wiring under the dash to get it run into all the little clips and holders. Center dash and console cleaned up and loosely mounted. More to come!

When she is up in the air, everything underneath needs to be just as mint as everything up above!! Disassembled the catalytic converter shields and scrubbed, and scrubbed. Got em clean and sanded out scratches a little before hitting them with 2000 degree high heat paint. Also got the actual cat itself a little cleaned up. Especially on the exposed ends.
Kept the elbow grease going and got the brake and clutch cylinders cleaned up and shiny. I have new gaskets and hardware coming in this weekend, so now they will be ready to get mounted once parts arrive!!
Lots of little screws, caps, nuts, and clips coming this weekend along with a key piece or two.

is there a rebuild for the brake master?i have my original that I replaced in 2010 that I thought was bad but wasn't. The outside still looks good but I wouldn't want to use it as is.

Not that I know of.... I'm hoping all my brake components are in good standing when I go to stop
Well with all good things, there is bound to be bad somewhere around the corner. Looks like we have a head gasket issue or with the bottom of the head. We're thinking the head is going to need to be decked to make it perfect. Block was already redone, and we were getting some good oil seep while she was running. Took the entire thing apart to be 100% sure. Bringing the head to get checked with a straight edge before sending it out if needed.
No worries. It will be good as new in no time and we have plenty of other things to tackle and get ready in the mean time. Picking up a straight edge after work and heading to 15 year Honda master techs house Tuesday after dinner. Should know then if we got too frisky with the torque wrench or if the head needs .0001 shaved off.

I see you have no AC. Sorry if it's in the thread somewhere but what have you got for the compressor mount on engine? Remove completely or do you have the non AC version?

Agh... I just like to go fast!! Thats a LTZ400 Ive got a little work done to. Had torn/peeling labels so I found a cool livery online for cheap and slapped it on.
I have the non AC mount
Had my Honda master tech buddy use a straight edge and feeler gauges to check the surface of the head. I believe the word he used was... "mint" .... After further discussion and breaking down everything we were seeing, we believe there was a issue with the valve cover STUDS not being sunk all the way in, therefore when we mounted the valve cover to the studs, it was still not making 100% seal..... We lost a few hours tearing it down having to put it back, but I would 10,000% be better safe than sorry. Got the surface all cleaned up and emery clothed to make it nice nice. Going to try to reassemble the head and get everything mounted back up tonight.
Ohhh... almost forgot! (No i didnt).... Also got in this BEAUTY...
Pictures do this piece no justice. Brand new. Not a touch or scratch, or spilled mountain dew orange on it. Can't wait to get things like this mounted in during final production stretch.
