Extremely late video from Expo 14
A bit of background:
I started this video in 2014. The original idea was to document every second of expo from leaving till end with intersecting music and scenes. I Labored over this for a month of two and eventually got to a point where it was about 80% done. I woke up one morning and my external hard drive that contained everything as well as a ton of other stuff I had filmed decided it wanted to disappear. To this day I have no idea how it got where it ended up. I was extremely distraught over this because it was something that was turning out to be really awesome.
So fast forward to expo 17, coincidently being at Road America again I decided to put together a similar video with the same concept and even had some awesome go pro footage that I got from Ramzi from expo 14 that I tossed in there (I figured no one notice since it’s the same track!) it was a success and turned out just I had imagined.
Last year while helping my mom move she said she found something and didn’t know what it was and asked if it was mind. I about passed out realizing that she some how found it. I turned that house upside down looking for it so o this day I have no idea how it made it to where it was. Anyways, the project and footage was still intact and everything was waiting to be finished. So it was nice getting to finish this thing even years later and I’m happy with it turned out since those two expos at RA were such memorable ones. So enjoy the world premiere in its entirety (since an unfinished version missing about 20 minutes was on my YouTube)

Re: Extremely late video from Expo 14
I caught up over PTO today on the full 40min mini-movie you made. Awesome job all around! This was a fun flashback, it's wild it has already been six years, and cool to see clips from the NE caravan crew. My brother works in full so I have a small idea on the amount of time and effort it took to create such a long video. Kudos sir, your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Re: Extremely late video from Expo 14
Thanks for getting that online, Brandon.
That event was a very big step for Expo. The Autobahn and Mid-Ohio events were building up to it, and in summer 2013, I had already scheduled Expo 14 for Road America -- weeks before we even held Expo 13 at Mid-Ohio. We wanted to bring the event to a truly legendary track, plus being nearby RealTime and King was an added bonus. It was the first event that RTR ITR racecar in Honda's CA Museum event came out to that wasn't simply a "show" event. It's a very big deal that car actually made it, and it was a secret for a long time. Peter, Lee, and others all worked together on it before we could announce it.
We had both Peter and Lee speak at the banquet -- rare occurrence. (Expo 15's follow-up of guest speakers was equally amazing.) In 2017, we were able (thanks to RTR) to have both Peter and Pierre at the banquet. I wish we were able to advertise and sell that more, but that's in the past and a different discussion.
It's not public knowledge but somewhat well-known that I lost thousands on that particular event, thanks to Road America's third invoice and added sales tax for that fiscal year (thank you former Gov. Walker of WI). However, the event itself was worth it in terms of Expo's legacy and status. It was a great event, and we improved upon it in 2017 when combining with NSXPO 2017.
Now that some time has passed, I'm a bit more open on these things, I hope that someone appreciates all of it.
Also, I hope everyone who made it out to it had a great time!
