WTB: New rear quarter glass 73501-ST7-A02, 73551-ST7-A02
Re: WTB: New rear quarter glass 73501-ST7-A02, 73551-ST7-A02
McGrath Acura aka Irunoem is showing stock on the R and L side glass. Assuming they are sitting on them until they get the price they want? I know when I inquired a few months back he wanted some ridiculous markup and they were still available through Acura at that time....

I know where two sets are being held privately. Pretty much the same deal. High mark up from orginal costs. If either go down within reasonable costs. I will see if I can get them to post for sale on here.

This isn't how IRUNOEM runs their business. Acura and Honda are raising and discontinuing prices daily. I will be the first one to complain about Acura/Honda's practices as they have negatively impacted my wallet and my car. Cris runs IRUNOEM and he is an active member within the Type R community, owning a 97 himself and helps sponsor community cars and events, like Expo. Cris helped me source these L+R rear quarter windows along with the remaining molding last spring before my upcoming repaint.9701TypeR wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 8:04 am McGrath Acura aka Irunoem is showing stock on the R and L side glass. To clear some in question, we will always go out of our way to help the community out. Many can vouch how I do things. If you get quoted a price that you think is too much feel free to ask me why. Shipping plays a big factor on the price. I’m very open to questions and will always try to work with you to the best of my abilities.

I bought various parts from Cris and he has been cool all along and calls personally if there is any issue.

That’s great you were able to source these and actually use them on your personal car, rather than just for resale. We all have felt the pinch from Acura, but with limited stock we aren’t left with many other options, except for helping each other out. In regards to my original post, was just passing on info I was given and my personal experience.coolhandluke wrote:This isn't how IRUNOEM runs their business. Didn't have an opportunity to call until today. They are not sure if they are going to get them back in. Another customer has tried to source them they said.330R wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 8:10 pm Acura of Memphis. The passenger side still has no date for availability. If you want to purchase the driver side from them, it should be in stock by now. Or wait til the other one (hopefully) arrives, if you want to get them. May want to wait til Monday to call; Saturdays are kinda crazy.

This is the actual problem. The shrinking supply of replacement parts is causing the higher prices. The reason for Honda discontinuing is another topic, most likely supplier issues or it's not as cost-effective as other models' parts.coolhandluke wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 4:12 pmAcura and Honda are raising and discontinuing prices daily.
100% this. A little while ago I got my OEM parts from Chase Acura and the dealer he worked at. Chase was awesome to deal with and it was great to meet him at Expo 16 and then see him again at Expo 17. He helped as much as he could, one thing that makes this community better.coolhandluke wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 4:12 pmCris runs IRUNOEM and he is an active member within the Type R community, owning a 97 himself and helps sponsor community cars and events, like Expo. Once he left that job, I didn't know where to get parts from until I found out about AcuraExpressParts/IRUNOEM. After learning they are an Expo sponsor, I went to them for everything, even non-R related Honda parts for my brother's Accord. I've never seen an issue with IRUNOEM's prices, they are actually better than Delray Acura, which is closer to me (couldn't figure that one out).
We really need to support those who support our community.
P.S. I'm still looking for these so I can repaint my R. The other rubber moldings appear to be ok, but I wanted to swap these out when I get it painted and then paint corrected and coated.
Thanks!

i haven't bought anything from him yet but from speaking with him the other day, he seemed like a stand up dude. i hope you're able to find those glasses somewhere. i was so worried about this very situation that these were the first few things i ordered 2 years ago. sadly i'm still waiting on paint.00-1065 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 8:42 pmTruth.IRUNOEM wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 5:59 pm To clear some in question, we will always go out of our way to help the community out. Let me know who you go with on paint and body and your experiences, It's a job I've been dreading to get done because it seems no matter the cost there is always issues that go with that job. Its like picking a needle from a haystack
