Suspension arms, rods, bars, toes, camber etc.

Post by Dave7CDMTYPER » Mon Jul 27, 2020 11:16 pm

I'd like to have a thread where we can compile suspension parts such as toe links, camber arms, control arms, sway bars, and any other of these types of suspension parts.

Mainly because I want to know what the best options available are, and then also lesser but still good options in the case the best are too expensive at one time or another.

[If we have thread already, we can delete, I looked but didn't see one.]

Of course, the benefit I'm looking for is more tunability with alignment; and also better road feel, steering, and handling.

As far as I've heard, the best we can get is PCI? Are they an ITRCA sponsor?

I agree with this need. Another member started a similar thread on a larger landscape. I can offer to pair with you if we want to start building out that thread, starting with suspension:

I think it'd be good to make separate threads. Lmk what you'd like me to do on my end, if anything, at this point.

I guess the pictures didn't lie. Really curious how the Spoon bushings hold up as there are far less voids than the OEM trailing arm bushing. I was going to install the OEM, but when I saw US sites selling the spoon at 130 shipped, I decided to just try it out.

Thanks for the pic! My plan is to keep editing the original post with info on parts such as the rear trailing arms etc. I wonder if this thread should include bushings too or another thread for that topic?

Btw, I got new oem itr rear trailing arm bushings when I had 5 lug installed on my gs-r. I was happy to get oem (versus hardrace or something that was recommend based on price but didn't have great reviews). But I've also thought about what spoon bushings would've been like. Or mugen? Assuming mugen makes those too.

I consider bushings a critical component in suspension. With Honda discontinuing pieces daily, bushings become a longterm concern. Even if the car is parked, OEM rubber bushings beginning visually deteriorating/dropping after ~2-3 years.

Mugen makes RTA's but they only sell a complete kit.
