Hi,
Just went with Hagerty recently on a high mileage ITR. They issued it to me with a guaranteed value of 40,000. I pay around 1335 per year. No hassles, very easy. I think their attitudes on the R have changed dramatically.

Very interesting. What do people think about how the value of an ITR is affected by having a JDM front? How much of a discounted value is it compared to OG fronts? I ask b/c my cdm ITR has jdm front.
I wonder if Hagerty would take that even into consideration or not. When I got insured by them, I told them about the jdm front, and they didn't seem to care that much at the time, about 4 years ago.

Thank you for sharing. I had multiple issues with Hagerty in the past. I bought 97 #00171 and despite Hagerty insuring the car prior to purchase, Hagerty denied my application. I checked recently but Hagerty required more hoops than Amica or Grundy. All for a car that sits ~360x days per year.

I think there is going to be a gradual shift with Hagerty, especially as 90s and 80s cars get older, popular and rise in value. I recall reading somewhere they are recognizing cars from that era as a potential new customer base as the boomer base of older classics start to dwindle in numbers.
I actually switched to Hagerty through an insurance broker that got a quote from them and they accepted my agreed value insurance of 10k on my Integra LS. It doesn't seem as restrictive, but I do have to keep my car garaged and I can't daily drive it.

So it was pretty painless. I had one phone call with them and sent them a picture of my R and Hagerty approved automatically.

I used America collectors. They were very easy to work with. I didn’t even bother with Hagerty based on the mixed responses on this thread.

How do all these collectors insurance companies factor in title status? I would like to do collectors on my R, but haven’t even researched it for a restored salvage title

Is that car running now? I remember your azht thread and the ht one . I swear your car was the one in my friends apartment complex with those big wheels. I can’t vouch for title status but I will say most places require the vehicle to be garaged.

No kidding?! I still have paperwork with the owners address on I believe, when I can I’ll shoot you the address it may have been taken from. On the running situation, well... it went into storage 8 years ago and I didn’t touch it at all for 7 of those. Just this past week I cleaned the tank and was able to fire it with a new fuel pump. Very shortly here I will have secure indoor storage and should have the ability to get it inspected and finally titled/registered/insured. I will be doing a build thread on here, since I can still see my threads on ht.
AZHT, warms my heart anytime I hear that

Someone on H-T had questions about a yellow one in Tucson. I thought it may have been yours. CBA set me straight. Azht is working kind of again. Check in .
