That might be Sam Smith's ITR. He was until recently a writer with Road & Track. He wrote an article for the magazine about buying his PY a few years ago. Looks like his garage from pics I've seen of assembling his Caterham 7.

btw the guy from your linked article who tore his ACL and turned around and bought another bike is insane :o

Oh lastly, R&T is supposedly working on a best sports car of all time article according to an Instragram post I saw from a car photographer (puppyknuckles). The cars assembled for the article: Mercedes 300SL, McLaren F1, Shelby 289 Cobra, long nose 911 S, E28 BMW M5, ND Miata... and DC2 Integra Type R! Lots of other cars could be considered for such an article, so to see the ITR in there is very cool.

Awesome info, thank you for sharing. If you know of Sam's R&T PY article please share. I saw that article reference on social media but I couldn't find the article to post in here.

If it's Sam Smith's, he bought that from Colin Comer shortly after Expo 17. Sam attended that one, although I was unaware until after the event.

Ah yes, I remember Colin. I believe I gave his check off ride.

That issue arrived a day or two ago but haven't had a chance to read it yet.

The ITR in the article has California dealer plates and 5000 miles. I'm assuming this is the PY ITR that Honda uses in their Acura displays. A PY ITR with high 4k miles was at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach last year (the mileage made me wonder if it was Peter Cunningham's sub-5k miles PY).
