I ordered the 98-01 integra every other model .

I'd be curious to see what a type R door hinge looks like compared to every other model. They are more than likely the same but the finding the trunk hinges to be different really caught me off guard. If I wasn't struggling with the hatch alignment I probably would have missed it. Though it was more a difference in how robust the part is not necessarily geometry.

As would I before making the purchase. Take a look over here on my somewhat findings. It would be cool to see a picture of a type r hinge from the U.S with the st7 part number

Not much to update lately, I took the time to take an audit of the parts I’ve collected so far. I also did a test fit of the wheels I have to make sure they’d clear the spoon calipers.

I mentioned before that I’m using 98 spec 5 lug. I picked up reman calipers off rock auto for a 98 crv as this is the only thing I felt confident would be the same. The calipers are the same as itr but the brackets are different to handle the wider wheel base. Here you can see the bleeder cap I lost weeks earlier, and the original caliper mounting. Glad I took this.

I also bought a pair of 98 crv dust shields and immediately cut the ears of the as this is required for the calipers to clear. I still have to clean the hub up here and drill out the broken assembly screws.

As you can see the ‘98 spec install requires the calipers to sit flush on the knuckles to keep proper clearance. All other models the washer is placed between the calipers and knuckle except later gen Fits.

Plenty of clearance all the way around well above 5 mm at the nearest point.


After that I put the stock caliper back on ,cleaned up the whole garage, and consolidated all the clips seals and gaskets. I’m about to start filling and sanding imperfections. I’ve been dreading this mainly cause messy and I suck at it.

Since these windows are now discontinued I cleaned the rubbers up. 600/800/1000/2000 and then this back to black type stuff I got off amazon.
Getting closer but still a long way to go. I’m not too sure about my job security at the moment so I’m not throwing money around as easy as when I started. I know without even looking at the recipes there’s more sitting here than what I paid for the car but you try not to think of it that way. It’s the journey not the destination. I think I have most if not everything I need now between new and used stuff that’s discontinued.

Between this car and COVID I’m so poor I won’t have a choice.

Progress report, got the car as far as I can by myself. Now it’s time for more experienced hands.
out to the body shop and finally get it painted.



Seam sealed and primered, going to sit for 2 days then get blocked again. After that, time for paint.
