Been dealing with a P1457 code the last 2 months. Changed fuel cap, canister vent shutoff valve, evap bypass solenoid, also smoked it (no leak)
Finally tested and got no signal from the fuel tank pressure sensor.
I have a 1998 ITR which uses part 04101-P72-A00 which is discontinued. The part number for the 2000/01 car is 04101-P72-A01 which is also discontinued.
NGK makes a replacement for the 2000/01 car but there are no aftermarket ones for the 98 part number.
Is the difference in part number due to the different ECU (ODB2-A vs B) or does it not matter?
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Question

It's probably just a different clip.

Re: Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Question
Just pulled my 98 sensor off this morning
The round connector looks identical to the 00/01 NGK replacement
Not brave enough to spend $250 to find out if it works. So gonna hit pick and pull first since the 98 type r one are shared amongst all 98/99 integra.
Here is the NGK replacement for 00/01

Re: Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Question
Very interesting! I hope one from the wrecker works out.
I had a P1457 Code on my 2001 that I spent months chasing (smoke test etc). As it turned out a capacitor on my ecu leaked which was actually a known Honda problem.
A replacement ecu fixed the issue for me.

Re: Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Question
I read the service bulletin for P1457 regarding the ECU issues but states it only applies to Integra 99-2001
So I don’t know what I would have to do if it turns out to be an ECU issue since I have a 98 car.

I didn’t realize that. The ecu failure was on my 2001 and my mechanic actually saw liquid on the carpet where it leaked. Now I have a 98 CDM.
