The airbag wires are integrated to the clockspring, but the horn and cruise dash side wires clip in. It shouldn’t be an issue to swap the dash side harness, on an OBD2 Integra clockspring. The wheel side wires are all integrated so no getting rid of the cruise harness there.

Edit: I’m missing all sorts of things this evening Stin. Your shot is of the 99-00 Civic clock spring 77900-S04-A11. The RS part was 77900-ST7-A11 https://www.acurapartswarehouse.com/oem ... 7-a11.html

So if that worked for you, that confirms the 99-00 Civic clock is the one I need to get my hands on!
Hopefully I’m able to get it new, otherwise I see some used available. For ~ $50 it’s a perfect plug and play solution for JDM SRS wheel in a USDM ITR and a replacement clockspring in my case.

Thanks for confirming!

Thanks for all who chimed in here. I have shipping confirmation on the 99-00 Civic clockspring and I’m all but certain that’s going to be plug and play with the JDM SRS wheel I’ll be using!

Many thanks

The clockspring is a replacement for my 00 civic hatchback. I used the rs on the integra . I considered using one of these. I have seen threads with that clock spring used for a s2k steering wheel on the 94-95 dc chassis. The civic has a longer lock to lock radius so that reel will be longer.

I moved this steering wheel between the two chassis. I used the correct jdm hub and the oem us chassis specific on each car. I wouldn’t hesitate to try the ek on the dc chassis. I bought two bad reels before locating a good one . Acura discontinued ours forever ago . I suspect that the civic ones are in stock for the recall of the srs system.

Confirmed the 99-00 Civic clockspring goes right on cables are correct length, correct clips, orientation (top arrow and guide pins) of the clockspring is correct for JDM ITR SRS wheel. Airbag clipped right on and did not go off when the car was turned on. The horn now works properly.

I need to do some cleaning on the wheel and clearly a lot of assembly to go for the interior but a whole lot closer now!

A big thanks for all the help!

That is some clock spring drama.

My first 2001 ITR CDM came with a JDM SRS wheel (and an SRS light) and also a stock CDM wheel. I removed the wheel only to find an LS/RS/GS/GSR clock spring that had been cut. I recall the previous owner had a GSR prior to the ITR.

I purchased an Integra RS clock spring off eBay and it fit perfectly. It worked fine with both the JDM SRS wheel and stock CDM/USDM.

Now I have a 1998 ITR CDM that also came with a JDM SRS wheel and CDM clock spring. I haven’t put the stock wheel on this time because I love the JDM wheel. I assume it will go on without any trouble.

Correct me if I am wrong.
