Re: New Limited Edition CTR
So the cool part there is, they assign "USA-XXX" as the badge. So the full badge and hashtag could be #usa123 but documenting the badges will be difficult if they post up as #123. At least Honda has stated the total build numbers, where as they did not for USDM DC2 Type R's. I wonder if the badge sequence will be documented or also left up to the community...

Re: New Limited Edition CTR
Saw my first CTR LE at Willow Springs this past Saturday for Honda Time Attack Challenge. The car had just over 600 miles. I'll have to look up the laptimes. The car's competition number is 77, which matches its badge, USA-077. I'll post pics later.

Re: New Limited Edition CTR
Oh sweet! That's awesome to see the car already at the track. I wonder how the newer FK8's compare with earlier releases in respect to over heating.
We have already started documenting FK8 badges, now LE's, so thank you for sharing. Now if we could only get the VIN...

The driver said he occasionally lurks here. Not sure if he'll be at the next HTAC round at Chuckwalla.

Re: New Limited Edition CTR
Rock on! I would love to see a Limited Edition thread, like the original CW/PY/BP threads.

Re: New Limited Edition CTR
Was looking forward to getting an LE CTR, but the dealer I had a (refundable) deposit with seems to have dropped the ball.
That being said, I'm happy to say that Bobby Rahal Honda in Mechanicsburg is still selling Civic Type R cars at msrp, and I should be the owner of a Crystal Black one in the next couple months (possibly end of March).
Frankly, that suits me just fine!
Won't be afraid to put a lot of miles on it, won't stand out as much when I'm driving it (probably get an Eagle Scout plate fot it for a little lattitude from leos if I'm cruising a little above the speed limit), and I can direct/use my blue '17 for track duty w/o worrying about keeping it completely streetable.

Re: New Limited Edition CTR
Ouch, that's disappointing to hear on the dealer dropping the ball with your Limited Edition but positive news on the sentiment towards a '21 in Crystal Black. I'm thrilled to hear there are dealers recognizing MSRP, especially ones with motorsports brands like Bobby Rahal. The Dealer markups of $5-15k continuing through today is bonkers and is the biggest reason I don't already own an FK8 CTR.Zyg wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 3:25 pm Was looking forward to getting an LE CTR, but the dealer I had a (refundable) deposit with seems to have dropped the ball.
