Questions about ignition keys

Post by AndyD » Tue Apr 06, 2021 11:13 pm

Hoping someone might be able to shed some light on a question I have.

I noticed the 1994-1997 Integras have the key that has the red-lettering 'Acura' on the key. Then I see the 2000-2001 Integras had the keys that have the red 'A' letter on it.

Anyone know what the 1998-1999 Integra keys are? Part number? I looked online and am seeing a gap between these model years.

Thanks!

My ex has a 1998 Integra LS that I've driven countless times and I never paid attention to the keys! :hammer: I want to say both keys had "ACURA" in red. But I'm not totally sure.

Replaces: 35113-SK7-A01, 35113-SK7-A01R, 35113-SK7-A02, 35113-SL5-U01

I believe that the 00-01 has the key with a chip in it for the imobilizer system.

94-99 keys are the same, 97 98 ITR have the cool key. The 00-01 have the A logo and larger head for immobilizer chip. The nicer looking 00-01 keys will work on all years.

I wonder if there is new old stock of the 00-01 Keys with the RED Acura logo instead of the white one. I swear the original key feels better made than the new one with the white logo.

I also have a key with red logo that I found later. I believe the black w/ white was the valet key.
