Integra Type-R in Fredericksburg, TX
Integra Type-R in Fredericksburg, TX
Dear Type-R Club forum READERS-
Letting you know that there is a
1997-2001 era red Type-R Integra here in Fredericksburg, TX that is about to be CRUSHED at a metal recycling salvage business... MY FRIEND WORKS THERE and I asked him if they could hold off until I could go on an online forum and hopefully find someone who might want to buy the motor (151,000 miles) and transmission... the body is pretty much a goner, as there is a pickup truck stacked on top of the car... The windshield it's broken out... I am planning on going over this morning to get the seats and the gauge cluster and the tail lights... I have already obtained the floor mats... I will plan on obtaining the VIN number for you...
I am not and Integra guy, rather I have a 99 Civic hatchback (120,000 miles) that I am rather content with... I will field any calls if you have questions about the Integra though... My name is Donald and my phone number is (414)213-8035... OR, I can be reached by my email: vegetarianpimp@yahoo.com...
My friend will save the car from the crusher for a time, BUT NOT FOREVER... These cars are SO RARE (only 3823 made) that it would be a SHAME to let this motor/trans go to waste... I believe that the Integra was built on the same unibody chassis as the Civic of that era and thus the motor is a
direct bolt-in for the Civic for sure and possibly the Accord too... The Integra Type-R 1.8 liter motor was the first naturally aspirated motor in AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY to make more than 100 horsepower per liter... I believe it was 109 horsepower per liter which is amazing... And 8400 rpm red line...The motor from the Honda S2000 sports car exceeded those figures years later but still, what a phenomenal motor that Honda created...
Someone someone Someone please call me about this Type-R ...
thank you...
Donald

Please share the VIN. We can confirm it's history from our records if this is a Type R, the red has me concerned, but the car could have been painted or be a JDM car.

Hi Donald
Thanks for sharing this with us.
We really need you to post the VIN and other photos of proof. Prior to that, I'd proceed with caution on this.
You emailed us through the website twice about this. First, you needed your account activated. We usually get those every 24 hrs, but you had only waited maybe an hour so and seemed kind of "excited" to post. No problem, that's not a bad thing. I activated for you via my phone to help you out. Then you emailed again about not being able to post. That could be the rule about creating posts in the Classifieds as a new account? Regardless, you were able to post here -- no problem.
Anyway, you really need to share some proof. This feels either super excited or super slimy to me. The ball is in your court...

I feel like the lack of a response of any kind by the OP is speaking volumes about this post.

Re: Integra Type-R in Fredericksburg, TX
If it's red, then it seems unlikely it's a real type r. I could be wrong, but that's my initial intuition.

Never know. I used to own a “red” usdm itr. And there was a “silver” usdm type r on copart a few years back.Dave7CDMTYPER wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 11:10 am If it's red, then it seems unlikely it's a real type r. I could be wrong, but that's my initial intuition.

Re: Integra Type-R in Fredericksburg, TX
Greetings, Type-R Forum Readers:
Sorry for the delay... Just SO busy with other things of higher priority...
Hoping this is a "REAL" Type-R...
It's got the sport seats, 8500rpm tachometer, Type-R decals on the driver's and passenger's-side rear quarter panels, and on the metal filler panel just below hatch door, the Type-R/Acura logo floor mats, and a black leather-covered (I think) shift knob... Definitely NOT been repainted... It had a high-end Panasonic CD/stereo...
Here's the VIN#
JH4D C435 2SS0 38200
(If this is a FAKE, I'm sorry to have wasted your time...)
I've taken more than 25 pictures from as many angles as I could... There is a pickup truck stacked on top of the Integra and cars right next to the passenger side... I hope this is enough... My friend who works at the metal recycling center said that the car will probably be there for a while maybe a couple weeks at least because there are so many other cars that have to be moved in order to even get at the Integra... if this does turn out to be a real Type-R, hopefully in time, once there is more access, I can photograph the engine and transmission codes but for now I cannot get at them to take a photo...
Now, I'm going to attempt to upload as many photos as I can... Since I'm new to the site, I don't know if there is a limit on how many attachments can be included but if I reach the limit and have not posted all of my photos then I will create a new message and continue on...
Thank you for your time and I hope this Integra type-r is a real one...
