I never started the car when I was there, or drove it. I asked if I could test drive it and his response was the cars alignment was really bad, it was slammed and he put OEM style suspension back on it and never aligned it.. He did an eyeball alignment by adjusting tie rods but I cant confirm that it drives well. The shock towers are dented up from the front control arms bashing them, the tires are fairly worn also. The car has mileage issues via carfax. The mileage reported in 9/30/09 is 267,820 and then in 2/16/12 its 296,076. New owner titled it with only 116,223 miles.
The car is not Champ White either, its been painted a pearly white, engine bay too, front clip may be champ, but im not sure. Beware of the driver side frame rail area tho. look carefully at the damages there. I didnt take any pics of the damage because I was heartbroken over the deal, Traveled 9 hours with my buddy, my wife and son, rented a trailer, borrowed a truck etc all for nothing. I didnt buy it due to that damage on the driver side front shock tower area. The welds are awful, and you can see metal bent and not repaired properly.
Sorry to hear! Thank you for sharing here.

That price will have to change or that thing is going to sit there for a good while.

I really don't know what the owner will take for the car. He was a nice guy who I don't think actually knew about the front end damages I mentioned. Underneath was clean so the chassis has hope, just to someone who wants to put in quite a lot of effort.

Sorry to hear it man, but 9 hours without loads of pictures and details with these caRs today is just crazy. It's been on CL for over a month now, I'm sure he has gotten literally hundreds if not a thousand calls and texts on this caR including from me. LOL. Did he know you were traveling this far? I've had that same feeling multiple times before I bought my first R a few years ago. I went and saw 13 ITR's before I bought my first. I wanted an immaculate numbers match yada yada etc. and its amazing what people told me were "perfect examples" and "mint".... Yea.... No.. LOL. I went to 5 states and 13 R's before I got my PY. And I knew before the garage door even got all the way open that this was the one. Good luck in your search.

Seems this is going to be a track candidate. At the right price..... I would be very interested...
