I was unsatisfied with the way my block looked so I tore the pistons and crank back out. (I didn't have any more assembly done then what was shown earlier)
I contacted a local blaster and they are going to dry ice blast all the cast aluminum parts. This should bring it back to new look.
Next steps are to get a a few more things yellow zinc plated then it will be about time to assemble. Suspension parts should be back from powder coater by then.
I'm taking advantage of my 3D printer using TPU. It can print out gasket like pieces so I've been able to plug holes that used to be filled with connectors (think of the door wire harness). I'm also able to print small rubber mounts. I've put them in-between the FPR / Catch can / ECU / Wide band so far.

I feel you, I don't even think I've seen my car in 6mo. I will say, expect Expo announcements soon, so if that motivates you...but if not, fly out and hang. It's a hobby car, so the work should be fun.

Bunch of parts came back from powder coat.
I dropped what should be the final parts off at the plating company. Assembly will be starting soon

Those anodized parts look superb! I'm jealous, that's a bucket list item one day when I have garage space for undergo such a project. I wonder if I could do that now with my spare knuckles...
Where did you get the valve cover done? I see the ports. I need to reach back out to King Motorsports to restart conversations for porting and have them repaint a VC in Honda wrinkle red.

The valve cover was done here locally. http://indypowdercoating.com/ I dropped off the suspension parts and then a few days later decided to bring in the VC too. I asked if they could match the wrinkle red from (showing some google images) and said sure but there was a special setup fee and the charge to buy the paint etc. They didn't ask too many questions. I figured they would call me when they were ready to confirm the color. But instead they just called and said everything was done. I'm guessing they did some research before just putting any red on. I've started doing some assembly. I'm hoping to the get the suspension done in the next few weeks. Waiting on some lower ball joints and bearings.
I will be installing spherical. But it seems kingpin doesn't have any for sale. So its random assortment of different companies. Once these die hopefully kingpin will have some available.

That red looks pretty close and that's difficult to pull off, I'm impressed.
The suspension should be fun to bolt on- I'm having flashbacks to ~2007. I also need to call IRUNOEM and order a front bearing and bits for final assembly.

Yeah I've been lurking on your build thread. I wish I could go back to a stock R. I kept it stock for so long then went too far. But the car will always have a special place for me. I'm still determined to have a trackable turbo car though. I have some new ideas about cooling that I plan on trying to do this time around as well.

I got hopelessly back ordered for a while there through a combination of health issues, supply chain problems and just everyone wanting stuff all at once. The front LCAs and compliance bearings I am sending to plater tomorrow will catch me up though. So parts would be available out of my next run and I can create a sales order to reserve stuff for you. Front UCA mounts will still be a bit but likely August. I resell PCI and swap NMB bearings into them for those that want that service. I generally help out my customers some on PCI so please just keep me in mind. No worries at all. Totally understand. If its alright I will reach out to you later this year. I am in no rush. My goal is to get the car mostly done before next spring.

I've started to get things back together. As you can tell I'm a little unorganized. But having to take everything to plater in bulk makes things difficult. I may have went a little wild but it should be rust free for a long time.
I will be able to finish the suspension once I get some sway bushings and lower ball joints from hardrace. In the mean time, I will continue the interior assembly and other odds and ends.
After that I will focus on the engine assembly.
