I've only glanced at the ad, but pictures look amazing. Seems like a nice caR.

I agree the car is definitely been modified in the past and somebody has taken measures to clean it up as much as possible. It's stated in the comment section that the heat shield on the manifold is a GSR unit. You can also look closely at a lot of the pictures and tell that a lot of the Hardware's have been changed just to pretty it up in certain areas like the shock towers. I pointed out in the bring a trailer comments that in picture 107 there is a bolt missing from the ABS fuse panel stay bracket without response..

I just saw the car this morning and the exterior is pretty much immaculate. The trunk keyhole has a round scuff mark around it so not sure if it’s loose. I didn't like the white wiper blade frames but it's no big deal.

This one seems fishy to me. 3 states and the title is Montana which isn't one of the states it resided in.

Other items which stand out:
scraps on the radiator jack point - signs it was lowered
Red calipers front and rear
Moroso oil pan

They definitely cleaned it up to make it look clean but I feel like there's more to this one. Only reason I'm calling this out is because as our cars start to hit the market I wouldn't want bad apples to ruin the value of the cherry examples.
At $40k currently, I don’t think it’s going to ruin much...

So is the car a repaint or just the front bumper? I’ve never seen Honda paint the splash shield.

These are the kinds of pics you would expect the seller to have on the listing.

Yep as stated later in dc231’s comment those were the type of pics people are looking for. The filtered museum photographer wasn’t looking for the actual car details.
