Yes this is #3 for me so by now Ive figured out that I need to document everything as best as I can. I appreciate the kind words of assistance! I will def be seeking help as things come back together.

Can't believe that was actual moss on the door panel.

Interesting story. The Möss on the door is nuts. What state was the car located? Why did it need rear trailing arms ? My uncle has a 92 gsr in New York and a long time ago he was telling me how people would try to buy it weekly. My mother told me it has rotted so bad the underpinnings are no longer attached . Glad you got to her before Mother Nature .

Thanks! I love finally having space to work. It makes all the difference when doing a job like this. My only requirement for our new house hunting was 2+ car garage. Whatever else the wife wanted, I'm fine with. LOL

Oh and the moss.... Trust me. I was beyond :shock: :o when I saw it. I couldnt believe it.

Car is and has always been in NY. I bought new RTA becuase I wanted fresh OEM bushings and spindles. Does it need them? I dont even know, I just saw them available and purchased. I have all new bearings, hubs, spindles, ball joints, tie rods, etc.

Got some more work done on the R last night. Final interior coat and cleaning, and got the bay prepped and taped up for the paint shop. Was able to get it scheduled for this coming weekend, so hopefully I have some fresh engine bay pics for you guys by this time next week!

I need to figure out the best way to go forward from here? Im going to drop the front rack and subframe and rebuild all of that, put an engine in for getting everything wired and put back, but from there what should be my next step? I feel like I shouldnt do the interior, since the whole caR will be painted with the doors off and the windows out. I feel like I can reassemble the dash and electronics, but no carpet, door panels, interior bits, or plastics should go in prior to paint? Or am I ok putting most of those things back in because they will tape everything off? I feel like I need to do everything I can before sending it to paint and body work on the outside. I'm sure I could have the whole interior back installed in a Saturday's time.

Anyone who has gone this far with a car or has been in this position, I would love any input or feedback on the best way to progress through this process. Thanks in advance for the help!

gReat progress! I would just hold off until the car is back from paint. Would hate to have any of the interior damaged/ruined while its there, after accidents do happen. No such thing as being "too" careful.

I agree with vtecwreck.. I would not put the interior in until you are finished with paint just be extra carful with re-install..
I say this from personal experience with the last car I had painted I wish I would've pulled the interior out to this day but you live and learn..
the glass guy took a small chunk of my dashboard off with the tool he used to remove the windshield first off and second off even though the interior was taped off it still was very dirty inside everywhere with dust from sanding. almost impossible to clean to a fine standard without removing..

I agree with the above. Its foreseeable that the paint shop will get overspray on the interior either due to not taping off, not taping off correctly, etc. I would leave the interior out and tape any items you do not want impacted from over spray.

I say all of this after living with a dashboard for ~9yrs with over spray.
