I checked with an independent tire shop in town and they looked it up and their supplier no longer carries the DZ102 in that size. A month ago Tire Rack had a clearance of "old new stock" 195/50-15 DZ102s with a 2016-2017 manufacture date.
I saw the Direzza ZIII's yesterday on TireRack:

*A quick search showed 205/50/`15's available but one could check their exact size

I just bought 4x RS4's from Hankook's website for new daily tires and price shopped.

If we didn’t capture the Re-71r is now discontinued at least in 205/45/16. Seems only 4 left in the US from what I’m told and scattered at all different location in unknown condition.

The Azeni RT660 seems to be the (new) compound to run today. Tire tech is constantly evolving and the RE71R's stock is now dated. I'm hearing reports of Direzza ZIII's greasing easily.

Local autocross competitors are having success with RT660. Top 5 finishes and they were on RE71R before.

I've heard it doesn't fall off as quickly while lapping and also won't heat cycle out as quickly (compared to RE71R)

I appreciate any help keeping this thread up to date with tire test articles, feedback like this, etc. :trophy:

I’m stuck in the past, when I couldn’t get the re71rs I fell back to 615k+ for a spare set of wheels (Buddy Club P1). Sounds like that makes them street dust while the current RE71rs hold

RT660s are really good, while I wait for my Integra to be fixed I've been autocrossing on them in 235/40/18 with no complaints outside of it's expensive and my GTI has no camber up front.

No impressions on the Integra yet as the tires will get mounted after the car is fixed, but on the GTI, they don't seem to punish you as bad if you are late and making a quick input change which I the RE71r was known to give feedback it wasn't liking that...

I had the 615k+ on a couple of cars and really liked them (for what they were). If you’re casually running autox or just doing DE’s (not time attack) then they’re a solid choice. Yeah, they’re not quite as fast as newer stuff but they’re also cheap, wear well, and have a huuuuge sweet spot that makes them easy/fun to drive.

Tire Information Thread

Anyone have any laps on the ecsta v730?

Looking for a tire, to go on the 15x8 TE37SL wheels, that will be a good teacher. RcompoundUSA recommended the v730 as being good with heat and consistent. Pattern reminds me of sport comp2.

Seeing some pretty positive things about the v730:
