USDM vs JDM Exhaust Manifold - fit the same or different?

I believe it's a 4-1 on the JDM and a 4-2-1 on the USDM? Does thee JDM fit on the US car's?

'96 spec jdm has a cast 4-2-1. Everyone forgets that. Unsure of that's the same as the usdm, but i think there is a difference in cat length. Might be made up on the exhaust side.

Neither 96 or 98+ will connect to a usdm cat, too short.

What is everyone using for a high flow cat these days? Looking to get one made up in jdm length. The jdm cat I picked up doesn't have an 02 sensor.

I bought a GESI cat and also a 2.5in adjustable test pipe for the piping so I could get it eventually welded together with flanges.

J's racing sells a test pipe in the JDM length with brackets to fit the appropriate oem cat shields for $200. The shields can be purchased from Amayama for about $25 for each piece.
