Check out the bat auction that closed today at $45k and reserve was not met. Now show me another 98 that’s even for sale currently.

Hello all,
Just to update everyone, I purchased a clean title, accident free, original owner, california driven 98 last week in the $20-30k range.
I had an opportunity at a much higher priced 98 with accident history and rust as well as an original owned NBP 01 and a slew of PYs in varying conditions.
They're out there.

Facebook mostly, but the one I found was listed on FB marketplace in an obscure area. It was up for 2 days with a single serious offer for the seller to hold the vehicle for 30 days. I actually almost passed on it because I was going to fly out to purchase what i though was a mint one only a few days later. I had only decided to purchase it because I was certain at the very least i could resell it for what I paid and maybe even use it for parts.

Wow a parts car, is it that bad?James0933 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 10:37 am Facebook mostly, but the one I found was listed on FB marketplace in an obscure area. Re: WTB: Any Reasonable CW or PY Type R!
No no, it wasn't that bad. It was just more work than what I wanted.
I'm very satisfied with it. The worst seems to be an installed aftermarket alarm with a stereo system and an input shaft bearing.
I'll enjoy making it mint.
