USDM Type R cluster difference, cruise control?

Hello guys,

What are the differences between the 97-01 usdm type r clusters. I believe the 97, 98, and 00-01 were all different.

The 00-01 I know has the security key icon.

Did any have the cruise control icon or have cruise as an option?

1997 has icons in different places than other years, 2000-01 have the key icon like you mentioned. No ITRs had power steering that I'm aware of. I've seen people swap ITR cluster parts into lower model clusters to get that functionality. Kits using OEM parts used to be sold, so you could feasibly swap in P/S but it'd be a big job.

Do you guys think this is a converted bezel/gauges since it has C/C? Or was my research flawed, and it was offered as an option?

That is def a conversion. and a bad looking one. number roll back was done poorly

no ITR had cruise. Period.

Yea, odometer rollback is a dead giveaway its been tampered with.

It's often forgotten nowadays just how popular it was to swap the Type R parts into lower models
