I am happy to see the powertrain and LSD should match the new CTR.
I am not happy to see Honda continues to allow dealers to charge ADM on both the new CTR and pre-orders for the Integra Type S. I never paid ADM before, too smart. Honda's loss, as I never bought a CTR FK8 due to ADM, I bought my RS for MSRP instead.

It looks better from behind with the wider fenders.
On an Integra related note I test drove a manual A-Spec Integra in an autocross environment (second gear the entire way after a 1-2 upshift before the start line). Understeered a bit with a bit of turbo lag at low RPMs. The TLX Type-S had better turn in. This was during the "Acura Performance Drive" event at Angels Stadium.

Agreed. Same thing is happening with the GR Corolla which I'm trying to get my hands on. These car manufacturers are missing the point when their dealers add mark ups. What they need to do is produce way higher amounts of these cars.

I'm hearing from other peers in the Type R community that Toyota dealer allotments are low for the GR. Best of luck to all who are considering a new CTR, Integra Type S, or GR. I personally won't pay ADM for GT4, much less a Civic or Integra.

For some reason the Integra type s really excites me. 300hp engine and manual, with more luxury Acura interior. Should be pretty well engineered with suspension, chassis. Seems like it will make a great daily cruiser/sports car. I'm working on putting down a deposit (no markup).

Good idea. But I don't really want to list it publicly at this point so tons of others don't call them before I get on the list ya know?

Honda allowing dealers to consistently charge ADM is why I never bought an FK8 CTR. Even prior to the pandemic, it was commonly an issue dating back to DC2 ITR's in '97-98, hence why the US didn't get a '99 ITR. So after trying, I bought a Ford RS instead for MSRP. After ~6yrs it is still strange to say I own a Ford.

It was actually 2000 and 2001s. 1997s and 1998s didn't sell well. I specifically remember this, and even experienced it personally. I tried to buy a 1998 brand new. The local dealership wouldn't leave me alone trying to sell it to me. My parents wouldn't let me buy it.
The 1997 were even harder to sell. AC as and option was a hard sell back then. Most American buyers preferred the GS-R over the Type R.
Not only that, most insurance companies didn't even know what it was. They were insuring it as an RS model, so insurance premiums were cheaper.
2000 all changed, largely due to the popularity of the Internet, specifically car forums, as well as the underground street racing scene. Another huge contributor was Gran Turismo video game. I didn't play video games but hearing so many younger kids know more about cars was shocking.
