1997 Canadian type r VIN question

Hello all,

Does a ‘97 canadian itr have VIN on all the same places as a ‘97 usdm itr (dash, firewall, trans, door jams, hood, trunk etc). I did some research and found mixed answers. Thank you in advance!

97-98 Canadian Itr's have the vin on the firewall, dash and door jam. None of the "bolt on" body parts had vin stickers until 99

Thanks for the reply. So the transmission didnt come with the VIN tag from the manufacturer?

Transmission and block have the holes but no tag, I believe if they are original the holes are threaded
