2023 - where to source axles
2023 - where to source axles
Turns out last shop that worked on my car prior to me owning it gets an F.
Going to need new hubs (oem and can get at dealer) and the passenger axle outer spline isn’t in great shape - someone torque gunned it in and didn’t have the splines well engaged
Is there a place to either just get the entire outer assembly - if not best source for axles? I see OEM as being NLA

Do you track the car? If yes, I would opt for the Raxles "VIR Spec" replacement axles. I also previously ran Drive Shaft Shop Stage 1 axles over a decade, ~40x track weekends, but I can't say if they model are still available. If not tracking, there are aftermarket new-units or one can find used OEM axles and rebuild, which tend to be higher quality.

Okay thank you, tracking removes the option for third-party axles from an autoparts store.
If you are open to spending a bit more for a hassle-free experience that should last years, I would consider Raxles or Drive Shaft Shop.

Re: 2023 - where to source axles
If you can find oem axles, Acura and Honda had the boots/ grease & clamps as a kit. The Acura kit actually only had metal snips with no clamps vs. the em1…. They are the same axles only one has the abs ring which the itr will have.

Its the outer spline that is damaged.
Driveshaft - 4-6 weeks

Raxles are legit,
Thats with core or without core?
I have two raxles on mine, but one is about 10 years old and starting to leak a bit, with a slight cracks showing on mine. I have other raxle cores to send back though, but with the cost of my trans rebuild, I am holding off for now...

I heard about these guys on an Integra FB group: https://www.detroitaxle.com/
No experience with them though.

Re: 2023 - where to source axles
Their website is a bit confusing
The passenger side axle for a dc2 fits all
Trims right? Their site says that isn’t so
But if I order a passenger axle that fits an LS it will also fit an ITR right??
