Sad to see, but this market has fueled so many disingenuous participants. Before (excluding certain brands) taking a loss on a car was common place given the time and money spend to enjoy a car as a hobby. However, most car enthusiasts could rationalize it because it's a labor of love. Okay, I am finished ranting.

It brings up an interesting discussion about several topics, particularly the initial increase in values for a particular classic car, how bubbles are created, and expectations for a classic car given its value.

I would love to know if this seller got caught up in the idea of a car/asset only going up in value, and then reality setting in given external factors like ownership experience and economic factors.

We are living through some interesting times!
