Re: 98 Type R copart
Another 98 came up for sale on copart under 100k miles originally a Canada car I believe that had front end damage nothing too bad sold for $10.3k.
This is making me happy. My theft recovery 98 should be worth good money now. May sell it and buy a more original one.

Car is at $10700 with reserve met for seller. With the estimated value maybe State Farm anticipated ripping the owner off and breaking almost even? Wonder what the deductible was?
Re: 98 Type R copart
Your 98 theft recovery will never be worth what a clean title Type R will be. The market doesn't work that way. Calm it down jewzilla. No need to get excited.
Re: 98 Type R copart
So your telling me I couldn't get $10k for my rebuilt titled 98? I think I could get closer to $12.5k. Of course I'm excited I'm Jewish and the idea of an investment having a good return makes my Jew hairs go up.

No...What I'm saying is your idea of flipping your rebuilt title R to get into a decent clean title R for the same or around the same price you intend to sell yours is pretty far fetched. Owners who have clean title R's aren't ignorant. You can easily check BAT for recent sales in the last 2 years. It even has a graph/chart of sales for you to follow the market on these cars. Continue to rise and a very safe bet. I just like you enjoy seeing something gain value. But it's only on the clean select cars that will continue to ride this wave of appreciation.
Re: 98 Type R copart
Oh well of course not I know that...I do see high mileage clean title cars for fair prices and mileage doesn't really both me. If I found a clean title 97-98 for a fair price I would purchase it and sell mine but if I ever get my car on the road and all is good I have no reason to sell it. I purchased it for a great price so no rush really.Rice cake wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2018 9:18 am No...What I'm saying is your idea of flipping your rebuilt title R to get into a decent clean title R for the same or around the same price you intend to sell yours is pretty far fetched. Another thing I wouldn't purchase a type r from BAT. I would sell stuff on BAT I generally only purchase things if I feel like im winning otherwise I hold off.

Re: 98 Type R copart
I'll definitely keep my eyes open for a clean Type R that a desperate seller who's oblivious to the market and is willing to take far less than what it's worth so you can have instant equity on a rare, legendary, low production, highly sought after numbered car and WIN! I got it. Let me see what I come up with.
