I havnt decided yet. I got my itr running, aligned, and tuned, and i aint gonna lie, i kinda like the stock interior with a stock k20 in it. Its very "driveable" right now.

But to answer your question: I am going custom, a friend that does metal work will be designing/fabricating the cage to meet class rules + fit my seats. I have Spoon buckets and PCI static mount rails, so they wont slide, with willans harnesses.

I wanna enjoy it a bit before it becomes fully dedicated.

Are Spoon seats certified?

Not at all from what I remember.

They are not FIA certified. Do they need to be? I know for harnesses they need to be, but I was unaware of the buckets needing them. At least the HFF rules do not specify FIA buckets only. Maybe more of a reason to stick with oem seats + belts or sell the spoon stuff.

The certification may or may not be required for your intended series. Most W2W or TA groups required certified seats, so I would check your rulebook. The certification is important since it solidifies the MFG went through the appropriate crash tests.

I recommend:
-All OEM seats + seatbelts (SRS)
or
-Certified fixed back seat, harnesses, and rollbar

Mixing and can reduce safety.

Too bad you aren’t closer my JDM recaros will be up for sale soon. I ended up ordering an Autopower setup.
