Based on photos of the A02 board the main chip has the correct program code (497), the pictured ecus appear to be genuine and I don’t see any popped capacitors.

Wish there was a good way to set up a loaner program to help those out in need and keep as many of our ITRs on the road as we can.

The auction does have a make an offer so it might be worth giving it a try and see if the seller will go for a price closer to market for just the ecu you need.

Has a bunch of Type R parts advertised on cl, i know! But i asked him a ton of questions and asked for additional photos of specific things which he provided. Appeared he had some sort of shop or used car dealership so i took a chance and Paypal'ed him. Thats when the excuses started why he couldnt ship and then communication stopped! go figure, anyway 3 weeks later and no header, its now in paypal's hands.

Well that sucks. Good thing PayPal screws even legit sellers , as the buyer you are protected unless you paid by gift. I bought a bicycle frame from some douche in Australia. As soon as I paid him he stopped communicating. When I opened a PayPal dispute I got a text within five minutes. He was mad I opened a dispute . He gave me some bs story about having to borrow money to ship it. Which I had included the shipping cost. He finally sent it . Good luck. Do you know if the jdm 96 spec is the same?
