Yeah I'm pretty sure that's why my legit A03 ecu is missing the decal on the case, and how I ended up with a Civic ecu in an A04 case :(
Always check the chip ids (497 = 97 USDM ITR, 714 = 98 USDM ITR, 111 = 00-01 USDM ITR)

Where would I locate the chip id . ? This needs to not be in 97s thread. By that I mean about us cluttering up his thread. He hadn't even responded.

Chip code on the large chip shows 714 consistent with 98 USDM ITR. :)

I see it now. So they removed these for some type of emissions/bar deal. Mine has the part number on the case. Hand written . Nice handwriting . Your p73 similar?

Basically.
The one I was scammed on has the right tag on the case but nothing on the connectors (and wrong codes on the board/chip).
The (genuine) A03 has no tag on the case but correct board and chip code.
And now I have an A04 that is all matching with tags.

At this point my build thread title is probably making a lot more sense. ;)

Looking for an Engine harness, updated WTB. Bought a harness and received a nightmare butchered harness. Dont understand sellers these days, tried telling me it was a factory uncut.
