Is it common to paint with Integras with handles on the door?
Recently had a shop tell me they need to be removed and done off the car. Noticed they were on in your pic and would simplify if not necessary.

Thanks

I think it depends on the quality of the job you are looking for. My civic was painted with them on and there is no issues with quality. I had some work done by a professional body shop and they removed them on my integra. Having a few cars sprayed I highly recommend removal of the glass on the quarters . They got over spray on my rear hatch window molding. They don't sell just the molding for that car . Cost me $800 bucks because I had to buy the whole glass . Not sure if that applies to our cars or not .

you can buy just the moldings for the rear windshield on the dc integras.. but from personal experience I will never have a car painted with the door handles in again or have door handles painted that I have not put through a stress test.. these door handles are old and fragile allot of times. the last teg I painted with them installed the door handle broke a few months later and when it was removed it took some paint from the door with it as well.

Door handles are NOT in, thats tape

And yes the handles have some very fragile parts so I was extra careful with them.

Ah, ok.
It’s looking great. It has to be very exciting to see it come together and have fresh paint going on!
