Re-intro 01-0980

Post by ITRDEC » Sat Jun 02, 2018 10:08 pm

Hello everyone,

Just saw that itrca isn't working anymore and read what happened created a new account and decided to go from there.

Ive been absent from the community for almost 3 years due to work school and a career change and with all of that I lost interest in the R. . After coming pretty close almost parting her out and selling the shell I've decided to keep her and finish the restoration. Quick run down she was originally from NY staten island area, i picked her up in port charlotte FL where the original owner moved too. She was pretty beat up and abused by the time i got her in 2010. i was only able to salvage the shell. The only parted her out long before i got her. Did a mild resto to get her running again which took about a year and half. 2 years later I spun a bearing and decided to tear down for a full paint job. Paint job was completed in the beginning of 2016. And she's sat in storage ever since. I may possible start a thread or just post in from time to time.

couple pics along the way

Sweet!!! Love threads of ITRs being saved. The roll cage was cut out? Plans to make it just a street car? I'm looking for a shell to make into a track car, so I would've left it, but could be a totally different avenue that you wanna go. Can't wait to see more pics!

Thanks dude, unfortunately the cage was not built to scca spec so imo it was pointless.

Thank you for re-registering and sharing your story. Many of us are happy to help as questions or parts needs arise. Kudus for bringing the car back to life. Rebuilds aren't easy, but one learns a lot (and spends even more.) :P
