8/10/18 Second order of maintence items arrived
All new oem items
-Timing belt
-Timing belt tensioner & Bolt
-(2) Timing belt adjuster springs
-(2) Cam Seals
-Water Pump
-Distributor Cap, Rotor Gaskets
-Both Vtec Solenoid gaskets
-Spark Plug Wires

Yes i am doing alot of maintence that isnt needed, although with 138K & no real maintence records might aswell. Im just trying to knock everything out now for long term ownership.

I would not change the head gasket under your circumstances.. your Honda reliability Fairies will fly right out the cylinders lol...if the head gasket is not leaking you would probably never put it back on as clean and perfectly as Honda did at least do a compression test and leak down test before you decide for sure. if you do continue the route you have planned I would at least consider using new OEM head bolts.

I guess im just picky haha, ill take your advice into consideration. New oem head bolts would be used with replacement of course! Thank you guys

If you’re going to pull the head you might consider having valve seals or full valve job done. Old seals contribute to burning oil. If you have it all apart I’d say it’s worth it or hold off on the pulling the head until you’re ready to do an overhaul on the head.
If your head still has the pneumatic? (original) LMAs I’d update those to the Honda OEM replacement (14820-pcb-305 spring type) part. Over time dirty oil could have deposited gunk in the old LMAs and that can lead to sticking.

Thank you for the tips, I already have purchased all new valve seals cause that was exactly my plan. I still have alot of parts to order, I will not be cutting any corners on this car. LMA are on my parts to buy list amongst various other things. (New oem clutch, coolant hoses, suspension bushings, brakes etc etc) I just want to get the heavy work out the way before painting the car! I apreciate any pointers,tips,help
