Need help trying to find an ITR
Hi everyone! I am trying to find my friends old ITR. If it is for sale please let me know.
Here's what I know about the car.
It's either an 00' or 01 in Black
He believes the badge number is 0463 (He's not 100% sure when I asked him but he thinks thats it)
It had dark tints installed (last time I saw it in 2002)
Gray AEM cold air intake (last time I saw it in 2002)
I have the original license plate number that was installed on the car when he bought it as well as the PA Dare license plate number that was on it during his ownership.
It was purchased brand new by my friend at the Acura dealership in Ardmore PA dealership on Lancaster Avenue
It would of been registered to an address in Bala Cynwyd PA 19004 and then to a second address in Havertown PA 19083.
I can give out an exact address and last name but would rather discuss that via PM or email.
Any leads or information would be very much appreciated.
Attached is a pic of my old EM1 Civic Si and his Type R
Please email me at
mjtsub@yahoo.com
Thanks!

Was your friend on the original ITRCA or Honda-Tech forums? Do you have the VIN?

Stin1 ..... Thanks man!

I don't believe he was ever a member and unfortunately I asked him if he had anything with the VIN and he doesn't nor do I. Is there any way to search by dealership allocation or license plate reverse VIN look up?

Re: Need help trying to find an ITR
Contact the insurance company that he had back then or find an old insurance card, for the VIN.
Re: Need help trying to find an ITR
Ill ask to see if I can get the insurance company from him but so far he hasn't had any existing paperwork and moved three times since owning the car so he said he's purged some paperwork during each move.carpayments4life wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 7:11 pm Contact the insurance company that he had back then or find an old insurance card, for the VIN.
Hoping someone might have the car and knows the Carfax report or history to know it was a black one sold at Ardmore Acura. My presumption is that each dealer must of only sold a few or so.

I agree with having your friend contact the insurance company. Or, have your friend contact Ardmore Acura (since he purchased new.)carpayments4life wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 7:11 pm Contact the insurance company that he had back then or find an old insurance card, for the VIN.
As you can see, the community are eager to help, but we don't have enough details yet. These two are the best leads.

I went to the original Acura dealership today and unfortunately they are not able to find anything in their records/inventory. They said they've changed computer software several times since the car was originally purchased as well as went through an ownership change once since then as well.
I am going to try and see if I can get some sort of insurance card or anything with a VIN but I think that is a dead end.
I was able to confirm that the car is a 2001 model year.
Does anyone know what the first VIN number was for 2001 Type R's?? I might just go VIN number by number on CarFax until I can find one that was originally sold and registered to Bala Cynwyd Pennsylvania 19004.
Thanks everyone for helping out!

I've been looking at our records but have not found that particular badge. However, the first 2001 ITR VIN is JH4DC23191S000060.
We have some nearby that badge number, and I can probably narrow that VIN for you.
