I couldn't find NJMP's 2019 calendar yet, they may post in January. I would be curious on post-Watkins dates.

Re: 2019 - VIR + Watkins Glen Jun-July
With two tracks, NJMP is usually booked one way or another so Im sure there will be something if needed. If not a major group like NASA or PCA, then likely a smaller group will have something going on (MoE, TT4C, etc).

What groups do you recommend running with? I can check their 2019 track calendars.

Re: 2019 - VIR + Watkins Glen Jun-July
These are the usual I keep an eye out for. Of this group, I probably drive with MoE and SCCA track nights the most.
MoE is great as its usually Advanced drivers only and 5-6 sessions with a gamut of different cars on track (stock cars, exotics, rice burners, etc). They usually split the track time up with motorcycle groups and are reasonably priced and pretty laid back (open passing on straights, points everywhere else) which makes it more fun out there.
NASANE (National Auto Sport Assoc - NorthEast) - pricey but lots of rice to play with
TT4C (Track Time 4 Cars) - similar to MoE
SCCA/Track Night In America - good for a quick session after a half day at work
PCA - Porsche Club of America (varies by Chapter) - too cliq-y and pricey
BMWCCA - BMW Club of America - same as PCA
Chin Motorsports - pricey
SCDA (Sports Car Driving Assoc) - decent alternative
HOD (Hooked On Driving) - decent alternative
MoE HPDE (Motorsports Enthusiasts HPDE) - my usual go-to event
EMRA (Eastern Motor Racing Assoc) - havent driven with them yet

Re: June-July @ VIR Full + Watkins Glen
This is officially a go.
The plan is hit VIR Saturday and Sunday and leave directly from VIR on Sunday to Watkins Glen. It's roughly a 9 to 10hr drive so I figured we'd get a few hours in on Sunday and find a hotel along the way. Then drive the rest of the way on Monday and hit what ever hotel we'll stay at for the event. Tuesday we can just fart around town, check out the lake, some breweries, etc.. The Watkins HPDE is Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday is the 4th of July so there should be some cool stuff to do. Also, the city of Watkins Glen usually does an event on Friday with fireworks and stuff so I'll likely stay Friday and head back Saturday morning.
I'm starting to look for hotels around the Glen so if you know of a good place, with room for trailers, let me know.
