Had to go back and get the gas door matched.

I thought it was maybe the faded paint so I decided to check the match under the hood and door jambs and it was the same throughout.
Thanks for that. Is the us white in your picture the oem supplied version or a paint supply mix ?

This is not correct. Your panel is either not original paint or you are using not OEM touch up paint or the paint you are using is old

Both were paint supply mix. If I find some oem supplied paint i’ll test it out and see if there is a difference.

I have a friend who works as a painter at Honda and even he’s noticed the difference when trying to paint champ white.

I can’t imagine all the panels being painted, including jambs and underside of hood but I can take some pics later and post them up.

USDM and JDM cars all came from Japan. I would caution against comparing the paint off a primed metal panel from the factory versus a fresh batch on cardboard. I agree, the colors seem different, but I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that paint colors were different across markets.

Precise matches when painting/repainting cars is always a challenge. The exact mix can differ slightly causing mismatching. Example, if one removes body panels when painting and doesn't paint the doors with the body and bumpers, there can be a mismatch even within the same batch.

Acura checked the superceded part numbers and it didn't crossover to any current part in their database. That says to me the current USDM CTR may have a different shade. The gas door posted is very similar to that ctr I posted. There was a few other cars at that show and the jdm ones that appeared to have not been repainted had that hue. Like nicotine stained if that makes any sense. My pictures are oddly posting. On my phone the CTR more creamy and dark , on the website my bumper looks to be more creamy.

The colors didn't seem different when I saw the two side by side (DC2/FK8) at Type R Expo, but we are talking single stage vs. multi-stage. I confirmed the paint codes for the FK8:

That makes sense to me. NH0 is NH0, no matter geography.

I bought a bottle of NH0 touch up from Honda over the summer. Haven’t tried it yet but the only thing I can say is that it’s a laquer paint. And that’s not what’s used to paint cars these days so will be interesting to see how close it is.
