idle hands results in random block off for dash:

I have so much extra carbon, might as well mess around and make some things.

Still finishing the carbon block off for the dash.

sooo im still waiting on some sleeves for the konis. They were on back order but should get here in a week hopefully. I am thinking of doing a track day at buttonwillow with the s2000 if i can.

Anyways, I ordered some EVS lugs from evasive for the integra. I bought them before for the s2000 and really liked them. They are steel, 17mm, and the coating seems really thick.

Im gonna roll the front fenders soon, but honestly does seem like it needs it that bad. With the release of the new Nankang AR1 tire, I am thinking of running a 245/40/15 since hff super mod allows it. (just no one does it lol) The overall goal is to run 245s with 15x9s all around. Once I get 4 lug rear trailing arms, I am going to have to modify the arms to fit a 15x9+36, but should fit nice since I wont use a spacer in the rear.

Lastly, I picked up these OG simpson driving shoes on CL for $20

Got the Koni's on the s2000. Its amazing what shock travel will do. Car feels good. Unfortunately, didn't take any pictures of the install.

So I decided to attend an open test day at BW this Friday. From what I heard these are chill events, just morning and afternoon sessions. So I can take my time, feel out the car. I have some goals in mind but we will see. The biggest change is the rear spring rate dropped from 700 to 550, which is large enough to notice immediately. My front rate is 800 and I was going to decrease to 700, so the front to rear rate spread would be relatively the same (50lbs diff vs prior). I am going to bring the 700lbs springs with me if I feel like the front needs a softer rate, which I may.

Lastly, my buddy, Billy, is coming along to take some pics and document the journey there. Which isn't too crazy, but he likes to have content for his blog, functiontheory.com.

So more to come.

Welp Threw a rod last track.

I am not sure why, but maybe the baffle wasn't adequate. I am going to do a weld in baffle going forward. Currently, sourcing a f20c longblock, also thinking of picking up an ap2 trans while I am at it. I'll post a link to FunctionTheory's Blog once its finished, which will detail the whole ordeal of trying to get back home with a broken car.

I only got 4 laps in before the #3 rod broke both sides of the block. Best time of the day was a 2:06.22x. With all things considered, I am happy about it. My goal was 2:05 or better, which was gonna be an easy task because the 2:06 lap was effortless. I had a whole game plan of gradually pushing the car and take tire temps. I didn't get a chance to push the car fully. Lastly, car is much better with the konis, no more crazy oversteer like at Chuckwalla.

Gut-wrenching Patrick, I can only image the frustration and heart break. I'm hoping you are able to economically source and be back out soon.

The red stereo light is distracting.

That's actually the oil pressure light lol jk

But it sucks, but it happens. I've seen it many times at the track. Currently, working with Dan at R crew about that longblock you spoke about. It's cheaper than a jdm swap and I won't have to wait very long. :moneyburn:
