Even though this thread has changed directions, I think it will be a good searchable topic for people considering going 17" in the future.

Only reason that I haven’t bought them is that they didn’t make a rear tire wide enough for the application.
Cool man! I didn't realize this tire was f/s in 15", must be new for us? Actually decent price ($96 as of this writing) and good treadware rating. Seems like the best tire to by for dd 15".

I think it’s been around since ~August of 2017. ;)

Seriously though, the tire is supposed to be awfully damn good. GRM or Sportscar tested them... maybe TireRack also. This iteration of the Conti was geared around making them better in the dry so they could better compete with the Michelin. While they were working on dry performance, Michelin was tweaking the PS4 to be better in the wet. The upshot is that the performance envelopes for both tires are very similar now. They’ve become another go-to option for OLOA due to their ability to handle street, track, and autox as well as a wide range of temps.

I’m running 615k+’s on my car and 100% would’ve gotten the Conti if there had been a 295-305 sorta width (in 18” and with the right aspect ratio).

Yep, 996TT but considering getting “something else”. Been waffling between a CTR or maybe a Model 3 Performance or just save some $$ and get an Si. Dunno what I’ll actually do but I’m realizing that I barely drive the TT anymore... and a part of it is the hassle of fitting kids in/out plus their stuff (we’ve been doing a bunch of indoor rock climbing lately).
