ISO 98 Cabin Harness

Post by Sp00nFedFilms » Thu Jun 06, 2019 10:22 pm

I’m looking to buy an uncut 1998 ONLY Integra Type R (may also take 98 GS-R) cabin harness. From ABS pump to dash.

Pic for reference.

FYI the 98 GS-R cabin harness is different.

Any idea where the difference(s) lie? Seems like all electronics were in the same location, aside from cruise control?, sunroof control if that connects through cabin harness, anything else?

That is the difference, sunroof and cruise control. I’m willing to have those plugs left unplugged. Other than that, the 98 GSR used the same ABS system (aside from the actual ECU) as the 97-01 ITR.

I read some where some of the evap wiring was in different locations. Not sure if that is true or not. I have a 98 harness that is not for sale. I can get some closer pics of any specific area if needed. I think repairing your harness would probably be your best bet. How did they remove the wiring? Couldn't you depin the wiring from the other harness with the plug and reloom the harness?

The gsr also has 3 plug connection for the horn which gets its ground from the cruise control. The type R and rs have a one wire plug. Not sure if that's from the dash or cabin but if I recall properly it is from the cabin. Anyone know about the rs ? Would that be a better option for op?

Rs wouldn’t have provisions for vtec, so probably not.

From the looks of it, they just cut the abs stuff out at the engine bay and re taped it up. Idk that I want to get involved with all that mess.
